The Palazzo Madama is situated just in the city center of Turin. For the long time the palace was a possession of the Savoia-Acaja, that is of House of Savoy. It was also the first Senate of the Italian Kingdom. It's a very unusual building as it has two facades: one looks like a real palace (that is Juvarra's facade of the palace) whilst another half looks like a medieval castle.
The Palazzo Madama houses Turin's Turin City Museum of Ancient Art. There is also a small medieval garden.Â
